Mental health is complex, and sometimes finding the right treatment involves more than talk therapy. At Heartland Health Services, our Psychiatry team specializes in medication management to help patients stabilize their mental health, reduce symptoms, and improve overall well-being.
Whether you're facing long-standing mental health concerns or working through a tough period in life, our psychiatric providers are here to guide you with care, compassion, and expertise.
Our psychiatry team focuses on helping patients feel more stable, balanced, and in control of their mental health through evidence-based treatment and ongoing support. We take time to understand your experiences and goals, and work with you to create a plan that meets your needs.
-
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations: To better understand your mental health and determine if medication is a helpful option for your treatment plan.
-
Medication management: Thoughtful prescribing and monitoring of medications for conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and more.
-
Ongoing symptom review and medication adjustments: Regular check-ins to make sure your treatment is working well and to make changes as needed for safety and effectiveness.
- Collaboration with primary care and counseling teams: We work closely with your other clinicians to make sure you're getting whole-person care--because mental health is just one part of your overall wellness.
- Telehealth options for flexibility and access: For those who need support from home or prefer virtual appointments, we offer telepsychiatry with licensed providers.
- Pediatric and Adolescent psychiatric care: Our psychiatric team provides age-appropriate evaluations and medication support for children and teens, starting at age 6. We work closely with families to help young patients manage emotional and behavioral challenges in a safe, compassionate environment.
Symptoms related to ADD or ADHD should first be evaluated by your primary care physician. These conditions can often be diagnosed and treated through primary care, with referrals to psychiatry if additional support is needed. This approach helps streamline care and ensures each patient receives the right treatment at the right time.
If you’re facing mental health challenges and think psychiatric care might be helpful, our team is here to support you. Whether you're starting a new treatment plan, adjusting current medications, or simply looking for guidance, you don’t have to do it alone. We’ll walk with you through each step.
